When and what to do?
Pre‑training completed
Complete the KOSHA pre‑training.
Alien registration
Within 14 days of arrivalGet your alien registration card within 14 days of arrival.
Automatic enrollment in health insurance
You’re automatically enrolled in health insurance from day one.
Monthly premium deduction
Premium is automatically deducted from your salary. The company pays half.
When changing workplace
Within 3 monthsYou need to find a new job within 3 months.
Pension refund before returning home
No bilateral agreement, but you can get a pension refund under reciprocity. Apply to NPS.
How much do you pay?
Company pays half. Your share is about 89,900 won/month (based on 2.5 million won salary).
Benefits that apply to you
Industrial accident insurance applied separately
If you get injured at work, industrial accident insurance covers 100%.
Pension refund possible
No bilateral agreement, but you can get a pension refund when you return, thanks to reciprocity.
Departure‑end insurance
Instead of severance pay, you’re enrolled in departure‑end insurance.
Tax treaty applied
Korea‑Thailand tax treaty prevents double taxation.

There’s no Korea‑Thailand social security agreement. Still, pension refund is possible under reciprocity. Check refund conditions with NPS.
3‑month rule for workplace change
If you don’t re‑employ within 3 months, your stay permit may be cancelled.
